The idea behind the Online Fitness Coach program is to work with you to ensure that whatever happens, we can adjust and get back on track. Sometimes things like work, illnesses, or emergencies come up. Life happens. Your plan is not set in stone. If you miss a day or fall behind, you have the ability to move workouts on your calendar. I am here every step of the way to help make adjustments and keep you moving in the right direction.
“Do I have to follow a meal plan?”

Absolutely not. Flexible dieting is a big part of this program. You have the option to choose whether you prefer a meal plan with every meal and snack laid out for you each day or a more flexible “exchange list” plan. An exchange list plan gives you a list of the different recommended foods in each macronutrient category – protein, carbs, and fats. All you have to do is pick which foods you want to eat from the list each day and stay within your set daily calories and macronutrient targets. Calories and macronutrient targets will be adjusted as needed. If there are certain foods you cannot eat or simply don’t like, they will be excluded from your plan.

“How will this help me fight cravings?”

As mentioned above, I incorporate flexible dieting into all of my clients nutrition plans. You will still be able to eat the foods you love in moderation as long as they fit within your target range for daily calories and you hit your macronutrient targets. “Cheat meals” are incorporated in your program and will be explained. This is not a fad diet. Your nutrition plan is designed to realistically suit your lifestyle. The best plan is the one you can stick to long-term. I am not here to make your life miserable.

“I worry that I will be hungry all of the time if I have to follow a plan. Will this do that to me?”
Understanding calorie and macronutrients will help you with making more appropriate food choices given your goals and appetite. Long-term, no. In the beggining, keeping a food log and submitting it to me is going to be the best way for me to put a nutrition plan together for you. This will not only create mindfullness on your end and make you aware of things you may otherwise not realize are costing you (like mindless snacking or foods you did not know were high in calories), but it will also give me the chance to take a look at your daily diet and make adjustments accordingly. The Online Fitness Coach program teaches you how to gauge portion size using just your hand, making it as simple as possible so that over time you do not need to count calories or track macronutrients.

“I don't need to lose weight, I just want to build lean muscle and get toned. Can your fitness program help me do this?”

“Do I need a gym membership or can I workout from home?”

You do not need a gym membership. Many of my online clients workout from the comfort of their own home. However, I highly recommend that if you are working out from home that you invest in a set of resistance bands if you do not already own some. Without them, you are limited to core, lower body and pushing exercises at the exclusion of all back exercises that involve rowing, bicep exercises, and overhead pressing. Over time this will create muscle imbalances. If you do not own a set, I have some resistance bands I recommend that are less than $30, and come as a set of 4 with a door anchor for in-home use.

“How will I know if my form is correct?”

Each exercise comes with a video demonstration and voiceover instructions on how to perform the exercise correctly. These can be viewed on your smart phone app or on your computer. Also, I encourage my clients to submit videos to me performing whichever exercises they are unsure of so that I can analyze their form and make corrections wherever necessary.

“What if I have dietary restrictions, food allergies or intolerances?”
I work with every single client on an individual basis, so if you have any particular dietary restrictions, food allergies, intolerances, requests or preferences, these can easily be taken into account.
“What if I have an injury or a health condition?”

Many restrictions can be worked around or avoided. I always ask for that information up front and in the questionnaire, so that I can design your program accordingly. However, if you are unsure of whether or not you should be exercising, consulting your doctor or physician should be the first order of business.

“Do I need a gym membership or can I workout from home?”

You do not need a gym membership. Many of my online clients workout from the comfort of their own home. However, I highly recommend that if you are working out from home that you invest in a set of resistance bands if you do not already own some. Without them, you are limited to core, lower body and pushing exercises at the exclusion of all back exercises that involve rowing, bicep exercises, and overhead pressing. Over time this will create muscle imbalances. If you do not own a set, I have some resistance bands I recommend that are less than $30, and come as a set of 4 with a door anchor for in-home use.

“How will I know if my form is correct?”

Each exercise comes with a video demonstration and voiceover instructions on how to perform the exercise correctly. These can be viewed on your smart phone app or on your computer. Also, I encourage my clients to submit videos to me performing whichever exercises they are unsure of so that I can analyze their form and make corrections wherever necessary.

“What if I have dietary restrictions, food allergies or intolerances?”
I work with every single client on an individual basis, so if you have any particular dietary restrictions, food allergies, intolerances, requests or preferences, these can easily be taken into account.
“What if I have an injury or a health condition?”

Many restrictions can be worked around or avoided. I always ask for that information up front and in the questionnaire, so that I can design your program accordingly. However, if you are unsure of whether or not you should be exercising, consulting your doctor or physician should be the first order of business.

“Are there age limitations?”
There is a minimum age limit of 21+ years or older. There are no maximum age limits as long as you have full medical clearance.
